GUIDE 03 · OFFER CHECK TIME
A check time means that named retailer fields were observed for one shopping country at that time. It does not verify a product's batch age, expiry, authenticity, storage condition, current stock or delivery.
Capture the source URL, shopping country, displayed currency, product identity fields, cost inputs, availability and check time.
Compare the observed identity to the canonical product record. Conflicts or missing material fields remain queued for review.
Publish only the facts supported by the source. Unknown delivery, tax or fee inputs remain visibly unknown rather than becoming zero.
Revisit the retailer source before describing an offer as current. Hold or withdraw fields that conflict or can no longer be confirmed.
WHAT “CHECKED” MEANS
A checked time states when the cited source supported the recorded fields for the shopping country. It helps a reader judge recency and helps an operator reproduce the review.
It does not reserve stock, freeze a price, guarantee delivery or certify what a different shopper will see. The current retailer page and checkout remain the decision point before purchase.
The check time applies only to the named retailer fields. It is not a claim about the cosmetic product's physical freshness, quality or authenticity, and it is not the time when this guide page was built.
Source data has been received, but product identity or cost evidence has not completed review.
The recorded fields passed the identity and evidence checks required for their stated use.
Evidence is old enough, incomplete enough or inconsistent enough to require a new observation before relying on it.
The source no longer supports the offer, the identity changed or a reviewer revoked the prior decision.
CORRECTIONS
When a source changes, retain enough history to explain the previous value, the replacement evidence, the review time and the reason for the change. An audit trail makes correction possible without pretending the earlier observation never existed.
Material anomalies should be held for human review. A dramatic change may be genuine, but it can also result from a different pack, variant, currency, coupon condition or parsing error.
Readers should have a clear route to report an incorrect match or stale observation. A report starts a review; it does not silently overwrite evidence.
